MedThe world of Stranded Deep contains many creatures, usually found in the ocean.

Sardines are a small sized fish commonly found near shallow waters surrounding Islands. Usually Sardines will swim in groups near the water surface. Sardines will try to avoid the player and due to their small size they can be difficult to spear but are a safer alternative to larger fish swimming in deeper waters. 0 2 1 Small Meat

Archer Fish
Archer Fish are a medium sized fish commonly found surrounding Island waters. Archer fish swim alone in relatively shallow water. They will attempt to avoid the player and due to their speed they can be difficult to spear. 0 2 5 Small Meat

Cod
Cod are only found in Deep ocean waters. Cod usually swim alone in deep water. They will avoid the player and despite their relatively large size they can be difficult to spear due to their speed. Deep sea spear fishing can be dangerous due to the risk of a Shark encounter but can produce a good reward. 0 2 10 Medium Meat

Small fish are found swimming in schools near Island reef waters. Passive.
Tiny fish such as clown fish cannot be damaged or interacted with.

Crab.png
Crab
Crabs are found exploring very shallow waters and Island shorelines. Crabs will avoid the player but will attack if provoked or stepped on. They do not inflict a lot of damage, serving more as a warning. Once a crab is killed it will not respawn. 5 Damage points 200 Health points 1 Small Meat
Seagull.png
Seagull
Seagulls are commonly found flying around Islands during the day. Seagulls are a common creature usually flying in flocks. Seagulls can be hard to kill when flying but will occasionally land on various objects including the Bird Snare which can be an effective hunting alternative. Seagulls will fly away if you get too close. Waiting for a seagull to land is an prime opportunity to fire a projectile at it. 0 Damage points 20 Health points 1 Small Meat
Bat.png
Bat
Bats are commonly found flying around Islands during the night. Bats are a common creature usually flying in flocks. Bats can be hard to kill when flying but will occasionally land on various objects such as trees which can be a prime hunting opportunity. Bats will fly away if you get too close. 0 Damage points 20 Health points 1 Small Meat
Boar.png
Boar
Boars can be found exploring large Islands. Boars are extremely agile and fast, making them very difficult to spear or shoot and almost impossible to melee. Boars will always flee from the player and make unpredictable zigzag movements. Approaching Boars from a distance while they are foraging is an effecting hunting technique when using projectiles. 0 Damage points. 200 Health points. 2 Medium Meat

Night Snake.png
Snake
Night Snakes can be found exploring or hiding within Island vegetation. Snakes are usually passive, attempting to always avoid or run away from you. If you become within the Snakes proximity it will hold its ground, rearing its head, making a warning rattle noise. Due to the snakes camouflage they can be extremely hard to spot, listening for the warning rattle is vital for survival. The biggest threat from Night Snakes is the Poison effect inflicted when bitten. Snakes can easily be killed due to their low health with a projectile, but if it is not killed with the first shot it will charge toward the attacker. 2 Damage points

Lion Fish
Lionfish can be found swimming near Islands in relatively shallow water. Lionfish are passive, not going out of their way to attack you. But if you accidentally swim into one, you will attract Poison. Once a lionfish is killed it will no longer be able to inflict poison. Poison effect 1 Health Point Used for Repellent

Sea Snake
Sea Snakes can be found swimming near Islands in relatively shallow water. Sea Snakes are passive, not going out of their way to attack you. But if you accidentally swim into one, you will attract Poison. Poison effect Cannot be killed Cannot be killed

Sea Urchins are spiky creatures found on the ocean floor, or ocean objects such as Shipwrecks Sea Urchins do not move but are highly toxic, inflicting Poison when the player comes into contact with them, but other than that harmless. Poison Effect Cannot be killed Cannot be killed

Crown of Thorns Starfish
Crown of Thorns Starfish are spiky creatures found on the beaches, in shallow waters, and sometimes on coral and rocks. Crown of Thorns Starfish can move though it appears they move when after saves and reloads. If the player steps on one, it will inflict Poison on the player, but other than that harmless. They only poison the player, they do not damage the player. Poison Effect Cannot be killed Cannot be killed

Stingray.png
Stingray
Stingrays are commonly found swimming in shallow Island waters. Stingrays are passive, and will attempt to avoid the player. 0 Damage points. 45 Health points. 2 Small Meat.

Reef Shark
Found exploring shallow island waters. Reef Sharks are found swimming in shallow Island waters. 0 Damage points. 150 Health points. 2 Medium Meat

Tiger Shark.png
Tiger Shark
Tiger Sharks can commonly be found swimming in shallow Island waters. Tiger Sharks have also been rarely spotted in deep ocean waters. Tiger Sharks are a curious and aggressive creature which will circle targets for long periods of time. They will immediately attack you if provoked with its main attack being small curiosity nibble. Occasionally they will attempt to drown you by dragging you down. Tiger Sharks can attack rafts, attempting to throw you into the water. 100-200 Damage points

Great White Shark
Great White Sharks are rarely found exploring deep ocean waters. Great White Sharks are an aggressive creature. They will immediately attempt to attack you if provoked. Great White Shark's main attack is powerful bite. Great White Sharks can attack rafts, attempting to throw you into the water. 200-300 Damage points
Possible Bleeding effect.
300 Health points. 4 Large Meat

Marlin.png
Marlin
Marlins are a rare creature found exploring deep ocean waters. Marlins are curious, circling targets for a short periods. They are extremely fast and do not hang around long, making them a very hard catch. 0 Damage points 125 Health points 4 Large Meat
Humpback Whale.png
Humpback Whale
Whales are found rarely exploring deep ocean waters. Whales love to interact with you, performing flips, dives, and tails splashes for a brief period before swimming away. If a whale is on the surface, be wary, as it can easily flip or even take down your raft. 0 Damage points Cannot be damaged Cannot be damaged
Boss Shark.png
Great Shark
The Boss Shark is a story creature found eating dead whale carcus'. This shark is highly aggressive, with behaviour similar to the Great White Shark. It will even attempt to jump out of the water for a jump attack, pushing you into the water. 100 Damage points. 500 Health points. Story objective piece. Trophy piece.
Boss Eel.png
Eel
The Boss Eel is a story creature found sleeping within the Submarine Wreck. This Eel highly aggressive, even attempting to jump out of the water for a jump attack, pushing you into the water. 200 Damage points. bleeding effect. 750 Health points. Story objective piece. Trophy piece.
Boss Squid.png
Squid
The Boss Squid is a large story creature found hanging onto the Ocean Buoy chain. This Squid is highly aggressive, and protective over the Ocean Buoy. The Squid has a lot of health and will tank a lot of projectile damage. It's main water attack is to bite, but if you are not in the water the Squid will attempt to grab or push you into the water with its tentacle. When the tentacle is coming towards you, you have the opportunity to hit it with a projectile, returning the tentacle back to the squid. 200-300 Damage points. 1000 Health points. Story objective piece

Can be found in all regions, varying in color. A medium sized fish found in Reefs that can be caught using a Crude Spear.
Frontosa is a medium sized fish that can be found around Reefs. Caught using a Crude Spear. It takes 1 and a half in game hours (or 1 and a half minutes) to cook on a campfire. When eaten it restores 2 bars of hunger.

Giant Bass[edit | edit source]

The Giant Bass is a Large fish found deep in the Deep Sea biomes. It is hard to reach for most without the help of an Air Tank, but when caught and cooked it replenishes your hunger by 4.

Pilchard[edit | edit source]

Pilchard is a small fish that can be found in reefs around islands. It's about the same size as a Sardine.
Pilchard is a small fish that can be found in reefs around islands. It's about the same size as a Sardine. It takes 30 minutes in game time (or 30 seconds) to cook on a campfire. When eaten it restores 1 bar of hunger. Just like the Sardine, it is not the best food supply.

Not edible, very poisonous. Usually found in the deep. Medium-sized fish found in Reefs, will poison on contact.
